She Kept Stopping in Asheville. Then She Stayed.
In the late 1990s, Kipp was traveling all over the country, and every route seemed to bend through Asheville, where she would stop to visit friends. The visits kept getting longer. Eventually one of them simply never ended, and she has called the Asheville area home since 1999. That is more than twenty-five years of watching these mountain towns grow, change and hold onto what makes them worth loving.
Before real estate, Kipp managed a health food store. For the past 10 years she has been a REALTOR, helping people buy and sell homes throughout the counties that surround Asheville. What she loves most about the work is, in her words, helping people fulfill their dreams of homeownership, and working with first-time homebuyers is her favorite part of all.
In 2026 she brought her practice to Landon Key Realty. After years with the largest real estate firm in the area, she wanted something different: a smaller, family-like firm where a supportive group of people genuinely value community and connection. That is exactly what she found here. You can read the story of the firm on Our Culture.
Honesty and integrity are at the core of who I am in all walks of life.
First Homes Are Her Favorite. Every Home Gets Her Best.
Kipp represents buyers and sellers in equal measure, and she is confident helping either side of any transaction. Ask her which clients she most enjoys serving, though, and the answer comes quickly: first-time homebuyers. There is nothing quite like handing someone the keys to the first home they have ever owned, and her patient, educational style is built for exactly that moment and every step leading up to it.
First-Time Homebuyers
Her favorite clients of all. Every step explained, every question welcome, and the first-time buyer process made genuinely understandable.
Single-Family Homes
The heart of her practice, from a buyer’s first house to luxury properties, across Asheville and Western North Carolina.
New Construction
Guidance through new construction purchases, where the process, the paperwork and the timing all run differently than a resale.
Mountain Homes, Cabins and Land
For clients drawn to the rural side of the region: cabins, mountain properties and land or acreage with room to breathe.
Historic Homes, Condos and Townhomes
Older homes with stories to tell, and attached homes with association documents worth reading closely. Kipp works comfortably with both.
Investment and Vacation Properties
Straightforward help for buyers weighing investment properties and vacation rentals, or a second home in the mountains.
The Money Questions, Answered Before You Have to Ask
The question Kipp hears most often, from buyers and sellers alike, is what their out-of-pocket costs will be. She thinks it deserves a better answer than most people get. So she walks her clients through what to expect early, lays out the facts plainly, and lets them make their own decisions from there. No pressure, no surprises saved for closing day.
What Buying Actually Costs
Before you fall in love with a house, Kipp helps you understand the out-of-pocket costs that come with buying it, so the numbers are never the surprise at the end of the story.
What Selling Actually Costs
Sellers get the same clarity: what it takes to bring a home to market and what to expect along the way, laid out before you commit to anything.
The Facts, Then Your Decision
Kipp presents the facts and lets her clients decide for themselves. Her job is to make sure you are deciding with full information, not to steer you where she wants you to go.
Calm When It Matters
When problems come up in a transaction, and they sometimes do, Kipp stays calm and reassures her clients of what she knows from experience: there is always a solution.
Kipp is a real estate broker, not an attorney, accountant or financial advisor. Part of dealing honestly is saying plainly when a situation calls for independent legal, tax or financial advice, and she will tell you when it does.
Rooted in the Counties Around Asheville
Kipp works throughout the counties surrounding Asheville, typically within about an hour’s drive in any direction.
Her deepest expertise sits in three of them:
Buncombe County
Asheville and the communities around it, from in-town streets to the coves and ridgelines beyond. Get oriented across Asheville area neighborhoods.
Madison County
The quieter, genuinely rural country north of Asheville, where the mountain homes, cabins and acreage properties she loves helping clients find are the fabric of the market.
Henderson County
South of Asheville and anchored by Hendersonville, a market with a character all its own. Browse Hendersonville homes for sale.
About an Hour in Any Direction
Beyond her core three counties, Kipp regularly works anywhere within roughly an hour of Asheville, which covers most of the places people mean when they say Western North Carolina.
Starting a search from scratch? The firm’s guides to Downtown Asheville and the Asheville area’s neighborhoods are good first steps, and Kipp can point you from there.

What Kipp Tells Everyone Considering a Move to Western North Carolina
What Working With Kipp Feels Like
One of the first things Kipp asks a new client is how they like to communicate, and then she mirrors and matches it. Texter, caller, emailer, spreadsheet person: you get her in the form that works for you. From there the pattern holds all the way to closing. She brings the facts, you make the decisions, and she is guided throughout by the values she names without hesitation: honesty, integrity, loyalty and dedication. What she wants most is for every client to feel heard, and to know they can trust her.
Responsive and Direct
Questions get straight answers, messages get returned, and you will always know where things stand.
Patient and Educational
No question is too basic. Kipp explains the process as many times as it takes, which is exactly why first-time buyers love working with her.
Warm and Conversational
Working with Kipp feels like working with a friend who happens to know the market extremely well.
Calm and Reassuring
A steady presence when the process gets stressful, and a firm believer that there is always a solution.
“Clients choose to work with me because I put their needs and wishes first. I want them to know they can trust me. Honesty and integrity are at the core of who I am in all walks of life.”
In her own words
The easiest way to find out if Kipp is the right fit is to ask her your first question.

Is Kipp the Right Agent for You?
The best working relationships are a mutual fit. Kipp does her best work for people who want the facts, a patient guide and an agent they can genuinely trust. She is likely a good match if:
- You are buying your first home and want every step explained clearly.
- You are selling a home in the Asheville area and want to know what to expect from day one.
- You are moving up to a larger home, or downsizing to a simpler one.
- You are relocating to Western North Carolina.
- You are drawn to a mountain home, a cabin, or land and acreage.
- You are weighing new construction against a resale or a historic home.
- You are a veteran or a military family.
- You are considering an investment property, vacation rental or second home.
And if your situation is not on that list, ask anyway. Kipp is confident helping buyers and sellers in any transaction, and if she is not the right person for it, she will say so honestly.
Kipp Outside Real Estate
On most weekends you will find Kipp at a ball field, watching her boys play baseball, which she loves more than just about anything. The rest of her time off goes to live music, being outside in the mountains, running, and yoga. It adds up to a life built around the same things that kept pulling her back to Asheville in the first place, until the day she stopped leaving.
